Nerve pain
Nerve pain in the foot occurs due to a pinched nerve between the metatarsal bones, usually between the third and fourth toes. This condition causes pain in the middle of the forefoot, which initially appears after activities like walking or exercising. Later, the pain can persist even at rest. The pain is often described as sudden, sharp, and stabbing, and may radiate to the 1toes or the middle of the foot. Tight shoes can worsen the pain by applying extra pressure and friction on the sensitive areas.
